The Elephant and the Ants
In a dense forest, there lived an elephant named Tinu. Tinu was very proud of his gigantic size. Tinu always used to bully other small animals living along in the forest.
There was a group of ants that lived in that forest. Tinu always bullies them by their size and says that they could not do anything like him. The ant will ignore Tinu and continue their work.
One day, Tinu filled his trunk fully with water and poured it in the ant hill. The ants were all angry, but they didn’t harm Tinu. However, Tinu was continuously pouring water day after day into the ant hill and destroying it.
One day, the ants lost their patience and decided to teach Tinu a lesson. The next day, Tinu filled its trunk with water and came to pour into the ant hill. But all the ants joined hands and went straight into Tinu’s trunk and started biting him.
Tinu could not do anything. It was shouting in pain. Now, Tinu realised his mistake and apologized to the Ants. The Ants also forgave him and later became good friends.

ஒரு நாள், டினு தனது தும்பிக்கையை முழுவதுமாக தண்ணீரை நிரப்பி எறும்புப் புற்றில் ஊற்றினார். எறும்புகள் எல்லாம் கோபமாக இருந்தாலும் அவைகள் டினுவைத் துன்புறுத்தவில்லை. இருப்பினும், டினு தொடர்ந்து எறும்புப் புற்றில் தினம் தினம் தண்ணீரை ஊற்றி அழித்து வந்தது.
ஒரு நாள் எறும்புகள் பொறுமை இழந்து டினுவுக்கு பாடம் புகட்ட முடிவு செய்தன. மறுநாள் டினு அதன் தும்பிக்கையில் தண்ணீரை நிரப்பி எறும்புப் புற்றில் ஊற்ற வந்தாள். ஆனால் எல்லா எறும்புகளும் கைகோர்த்து நேராக டினுவின் தும்பிக்கைக்குள் சென்று கடிக்க ஆரம்பித்தன.
டினுவால் ஒன்றும் செய்ய முடியவில்லை. அது வலியில் கத்திக் கொண்டிருந்தது. இப்போது, டினு தன் தவறை உணர்ந்து எறும்புகளிடம் மன்னிப்பு கேட்டார். எறும்புகளும் அவரை மன்னித்து பின்னர் நல்ல நண்பர்களாக மாறின.
