The ant and the Grasshopper
Once upon a time, there lived an ant and a grasshopper in a grassy meadow. It was a hot summer time. The ant used to work hard from dawn to dusk to collect food.
On the other hand, the grasshopper used to enjoy the summer and would dance and sing and lived happily. The ant worked very hard and collected grains and stored it in its house.
The grasshopper used to make fun of the ant for working all the time and not enjoying the summer. The grasshopper asked the ant to join him sing and dance and enjoy the current moment.
The ant refused and advised the grasshopper to store some food for the winter season. The grasshopper did not take ant’s words seriously and continued to sing and dance the whole day.
After a few months, the winter season started. Now the grass meadow is completely covered with snow and there was no plantation left. Now, the grasshopper started feeling hungry and cold as there was no shelter.
At this moment, the grasshopper remembered about the ant and went to meet the ant. The ant was relaxing and as it collected food throughout the summer, there was no food scarcity for the ant. At this time, the grasshopper realised that it should have worked like the ant to save food and shelter.
