  • It is very easy to prepare the food, but keep a few things in mind. Avoid giving raw fruits while starting solids. You can give raw fruits after 7 months, and once the baby gets used to the solids,.
  • The other major thing is that there should not be any solid particles. Food must be completely mashed. Take a vegetable or fruit you want to give to your baby, say apples.
  • Wash them properly, peel off the skin, and remove the seeds. Cut the apple into small pieces and steam them. It is advisable to steam them rather than boil them. Steam them for around 10 to 15 minutes.
  • Once they are cooked, mash them completely without any chunks. You can blend them too, or strain them through a strainer. Cool them down completely, and feed them to your baby. Do check for chunks, as it may lead to choking.

  • Always start with a small amount and gradually increase it as per your baby’s appetite.
